Can I be evicted in the middle of a lease for no reason?
I have 62 days left of my lease. I have never been late. Today I got a 30 day eviction notice taped on my door and I was shocked. I knew that my lease renewal time was coming up, and I actually spoke to the lease management office telling them I would renew when I knew my furture plans with school. They said it would be fine, to come and talk to them 30 days prior to my lease ending. That would actually be the first of January, so can they give me this notice now, in November?? Furthermore, they did send me 2 renew notices, not eviction notices, but reminders rather. Those do not serve as eviction notices and so this is the first notice I ever recieved. And the fact that they just taped it to my door seems kind of cheap. Is this legal. What can I do?
